Frequently asked questions
Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully insured with professional liability insurance. This is to ensure a secure and trustworthy coaching experience for all clients.
Can I use HSA/FSA funds for Health & Wellness Coaching?
Yes! HSA/FSA accounts provide the opportunity for you to pay for qualified medical expenses that insurance may not cover.
Health and wellness coaching is an important service that supports individuals in any stage of health. To qualify to use your HSA/FSA account to pay for these services, they must be tied to the prevention, treatment, or management of a medical condition. Please speak with your physician about qualifying for a signed Letter of Medical Necessity to submit to your HSA/FSA provider.
Each HSA/FSA account administrator may have different documentation requirements. Please verify with your provider before submitting expenses.

What does a health coach do (and not do)?
Health coaches guide and support clients in making meaningful lifestyle changes to improve their overall well-being. They do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, prescribe medications or supplements, or provide therapy. Instead, their role focuses on education, motivation, and empowering clients to find their own answers while developing healthy sustainable habits.

What can I expect out of a health coaching program?
The process of health coaching progresses through several stages:
- You provide background information through a well-being inventory so that you and your coach are well-informed on the key issues, including medical considerations.
- During the initial 90-minute coaching session, you identify your priorities and develop a personal wellness plan including a vision, three-month goals, and the first steps.
- In subsequent 60-minute coaching sessions, you and your coach review the progress toward your vision and goals, explore and resolve the most pressing issues, learn something new, and then agree on a set of goals for the following week. You will enjoy plenty of ah-ha moments along the way!
- By the end of three months, you can expect to reach more than 70% of your three-month goals and feel energized and confident to embark on new areas with or without your coach.
Where are sessions held?
All sessions are conducted virtually through video calls using Google Meet. A phone call option is also available for flexibility and convenience.
